It was a fantastic and real eye-opening training day on the different types of unconscious bias we might have and how it can filter through to what we say or do. I also found the tools provided very useful, like the 'Ladder of Inference', and will be using them in the future.

The course definitely made me think. We all have a range of unconscious biases ranging from very important hurtful ones including race, religion and age related to the very minor such as IKEA or against left-handed people.

There are some 188 biases out there. We all have biases, some are conscious but most are unconscious. Biases influence our relationships and our decision-making in a multitude of ways. They can cost an organisation in terms of poor decision-making and damaged relationships. The challenges are to become aware of one's own biases and to develop strategies to limit their negative effects on our relationships and decision-making, as well as to be able to deal with the impact of the bias of others and of the organisations in which we work. This one-day workshop will provide you with the insights and strategies you need to do this both personally and professionally.
